Explore a real-life situation with us. Let's foster Business English Communication Skills as we find solutions together!
Min: Welcome to Hocify, where we foster business English communication skills through real-life situations. After the lesson, if you missed something, please check out the description to access the transcript for more details on our website ‘hocify dot com’, along with related tools and resources. Now, let’s dive into today’s challenge!
Max: Hey Min, can we chat for a moment about our ongoing project? I’ve been thinking about something important.
Min: Sure thing, Max! What’s on your mind?
Max: Well, I’ve noticed that we haven’t been focusing much on user testing in our process. Do you know why that is?
Min: Hmm, I haven’t really thought about it. Why do you think it’s such a big deal?
Max: Great question! User testing is crucial because it helps us ensure that the app we’re building is easy and enjoyable for people to use. Without it, we might miss important problems that could make our app hard to use.
Min: Oh, I see what you mean. But couldn’t we just rely on our own opinions to know if the app is good?
Max: That’s a common misconception, Min. Our own opinions are important, but they might not represent everyone who will use the app. User testing helps us get feedback from a variety of people so we can make sure our app works well for everyone.
Min: I guess that makes sense. But how do we even do user testing? It sounds complicated.
Max: It can seem that way, but it’s actually pretty straightforward. We can start by asking people to try out our app and give us their honest thoughts while they use it. Then, we can use their feedback to make improvements.
Min: Okay, I get it now. But why should we bother doing this if our app already seems pretty good?
Max: Another great question, Min! Even if our app seems good to us, there might be small issues that we don’t notice but could frustrate users. User testing helps us catch those issues early so we can fix them before they become big problems.
Min: Got it. But won’t doing all this testing take a lot of time and money?
Max: It might take some extra time and resources, but it’s worth it in the long run. Fixing problems after the app is already out can be much more costly and time-consuming than doing it during the design process.
Min: I see your point, Max. Thanks for explaining all of this to me.
Max: No problem, Min! I’m glad we could talk about it. Let’s make sure we prioritize user testing moving forward to create the best possible app for our users.
