Storia's First Tales: Three Worlds Awaiting Your Ideas

Last week, I introduced Storia (read about it here) - our experiment in collective storytelling. Today, I'm excited to share our first three tales that are unfolding right now. Each one is a door to a different world, and your ideas could determine what lies behind it.

The Wall Walkers Ascent 📚

In New Shanghai's final physical library, reality is getting... slippery. Lin Chen's neural implant, the Cataloguer, is mixing stories with memories, and now there are footprints climbing up the walls. Not metaphorical footprints - actual muddy tracks defying gravity, leading to the rare books section.

An ancient prophecy, a mysterious dagger, and a figure lurking in the shadows. What would you add to this mix? Perhaps those footprints lead to a hidden floor where banned books write themselves, or maybe the library itself is becoming sentient, one story at a time.

The Midnight Feeding 🥖

Some family recipes come with unexpected ingredients. In Maya's grandmother's historic bakery, the sourdough starter is developing a taste for something other than flour. Strange glyphs appear in the dough, customers fall mysteriously ill, and at midnight, something in that ancient ceramic crock demands to be fed.

What dark culinary secrets could be bubbling beneath the surface? Is there a reason why Nana Emilia never parts with that silver locket? Your theory could become the next chapter.

The Storms Symphony ⛈️

Dr. Sarah Park just wanted to end California's drought. Instead, her quantum weather manipulation experiment has awakened something in the clouds. The storm isn't just intelligent - it's trying to communicate, bending space-time with each thunderclap.

As the mysterious presence approaches through the tempest, what messages might it bring? What if every raindrop contains a memory from another world? The next development could come from your imagination.

Your Turn to Shape These Tales ✍️

Visit Storia and dive into these stories. Whether you contribute:

  • An unexpected twist
  • A moment of profound revelation
  • Something wonderfully weird

Your idea could become the next chapter.

Need Some Inspiration? 💭

Here are a few prompts to get your creativity flowing:

  • What if the library's books are disappearing not because they're being stolen, but because they're escaping?
  • Could Maya's sourdough starter be a portal to where all lost recipes end up?
  • What if Dr. Park's storm is actually Earth's weather system gaining consciousness?

The best part? You don't need to be a writer. Sometimes the wildest ideas make the most compelling stories. Drop by, read the latest chapters, and let your imagination run wild in the comments.

Don't just read these stories - help write them.

Have you checked out any of these stories yet? What direction would you take them? Share your ideas below, or better yet, join us on Storia and make them part of the narrative!
