Adding a user to your existing AWS subscription involves creating an IAM (Identity and Access Management) user.

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign In to AWS Management Console Log in to the AWS Management Console as a user with administrative privileges.
  2. Navigate to the IAM Console Go to the IAM Dashboard.
  3. Create a New User Select Users from the navigation pane. Click Add users.
  4. Provide User Details Enter a username for the new user. Select the Access type: Programmatic access: If the user needs access to AWS via the CLI, SDK, or APIs. AWS Management Console access: For web-based AWS Console access. Both can be selected if required.
  5. Set Permissions Add user to group: Assign the user to an existing IAM group with preconfigured policies. Copy permissions from existing user: Replicate permissions of another user. Attach policies directly: Assign permissions by selecting predefined AWS policies.
  6. Configure User Details Add optional tags (e.g., department, role) for better organization.
  7. Review and Create User Review the details. Click Create user.
  8. Share Login Credentials Provide the user with: Access key ID and secret access key (if programmatic access is enabled). A link to the AWS Management Console (if console access is enabled). Their username and temporary password. Note: Ensure the user updates their password upon first login.
