CodeFast Review (SAAS Course): is Marc Lou a Fraud?
If you’ve ever dreamt of turning an idea into a real-life SaaS (Software as a Service) but found coding just plain boring, Marc Lou’s CodeFast course might just be what you’re looking for. After completing the course, I can confidently say it delivers on its promise to teach coding for entrepreneurs — not software engineers — and does so in a fast, practical, and engaging way. But let’s break it down with some pros and cons, so you can decide if this course is right for you.

My background : I am a French trainer by day (Office suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and an indie hacker by night. I did have a training on coding thought a 6-months JavaScript bootcamp (I did program with the React/Next frameworks a bit before taking the course).
What I Loved: The Positives about Codefast Course
Focus on What Matters
Marc’s approach is all about cutting through the fluff. No memorizing useless algorithms or diving into theoretical jargon. Instead, you’re learning the essentials to get a product off the ground. As someone with no prior coding experience, I appreciated how straightforward and relevant every lesson was.
Marc uses the 80/20 method to help you start coding. To be honest, he made a fantastic job compared to other courses available (no complicated terms). The first exercice is well made for beginners (recreate the youtube interface). He also have a great personality which make the course dynamic (no monotone voice).
Quick Results
The structure of the course is genius:
- By Day 1, you grasp the fundamentals.
- By Day 4, you’re building actual features like login systems.
- By Day 14, you’ve launched a product!
I followed the timeline closely and launched a simple app in under two weeks. There’s no better feeling than seeing your idea live on the internet.
AI-Powered Coding
Marc fully embraces the power of AI tools, teaching you how to let AI handle repetitive coding tasks. This saved me hours and made the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming.
Practical and Engaging Content
The 12+ hours of video are packed with actionable steps, not long-winded lectures. Marc’s teaching style is casual and relatable — like a friend guiding you instead of a professor droning on.
Supportive Community
The private Discord community was a game-changer. Whenever I got stuck, I could ask questions and get help from others who were on the same journey. It felt like a mini mastermind group.

The Drawbacks: Room for Improvement
Pace May Be Too Fast for Some
While I loved the accelerated timeline, it might be too intense for beginners who need more time to absorb concepts. If you’re someone who likes to move at a slower pace, you might feel rushed.
Light on Theory
If you’re looking to truly understand the why behind the code (like why certain tech stacks are used or the deep mechanics of algorithms), this course might not satisfy your curiosity. It’s laser-focused on getting you to build, not on diving into theory.
SEO Module Missing
The course promises an SEO module, but as of my time taking it, this feature was still “coming soon.” While not a dealbreaker, it’s something to keep in mind if SEO is a priority for your product. I also wanted more marketing tactics.
Price Point
The price can be an obstacle for some people, especially in some countries. However, for a full-stack course, it is below 200 dollars.
I also wanted to pay in few installments. Paypal is available but couldn’t use the 4x payment feature.
Updates : Marc Lou was transparent enough to ask feedbacks from people who were interested but did not purchase yet (I think this is a great move from him)
My Personal Results
By the end of the course, I built a simple subscription-based app using Stripe and deployed it live. Was it perfect? Nope — but Marc emphasizes iteration over perfection. To be honest, I had experience with the framework Next JS but I did love the reminders. Plus the use of Github Copilot as a companion, with insights from a developer making real money, was a real game-changer (I used other tools like Cursor or Claude). I also did love to know the hacks and extensions Marc used on VS code.
Who Codefast is For
- Aspiring entrepreneurs who want to turn ideas into functional online businesses.
- Beginners who feel overwhelmed by traditional coding courses.
- Time-strapped individuals who need a lean, practical approach.
Who This Course is Not For
- Aspiring software engineers aiming for a corporate job (this isn’t your path to FAANG).
- Perfectionists who get stuck on minor details rather than shipping ideas.
- People who want a certificate to show off.
Final Verdict: Is CodeFast Worth It?
Absolutely. Marc Lou has created a course that’s fun, efficient, and practical. It’s not for everyone, but if your goal is to build a SaaS or online business without spending months (or years) on traditional coding lessons, CodeFast is a no-brainer.
For me, it turned a daunting skill into an accessible tool — and that’s invaluable. If you’re ready to stop dreaming and start building, give it a shot. At the very least, you’ll leave with a working app and a new mindset.
Would I recommend it? 100%. Just be prepared to put in the work, stay curious, and embrace the learning curve.
