What's new at AWS π’
β #AWSDatabaseMigrationService now includes enhanced monitoring dashboard for your DMS tasks.
β With this launch, customers can now experience greatly improved monitoring capabilities for the database and various analytics workloads running in DMS.
β It helps us to streamline monitoring processes and quickly identify potential issues by viewing all relevant information in a centralized location
β These new dashboard improvements make it easier to monitor the health of data workload movements and troubleshoot problems.
β Observability tasks such as,
β Aggregated & customized metrics for multiple DMS tasks
β Visualize utilization for all tasks on replication instance
β Enables ease of identify the root cause of task issues as well.
β In addition to that, By default, enhanced monitoring metrics follow the retention policy for CloudWatch metrics
β 1 minute datapoints are available for 15 days
β 5 minute datapoints are available for 63 days
β 1 hour datapoints are available for 455 days
π Note: CloudWatch Log not delete the log events immediately, only after 72 hours of retention period expired.
