March Newsletter Follow-up during IWD month

vicky as bitmoji overload with media info

It's International Women's Day month, hasn't it been busy from events, news, media coverage and social media overload and how to keep on top of it all?
Answer: You can't unless you step away from your phone/laptop... ๐Ÿ˜ญ

๐Ÿ‘€ Although if there's one socmed thread to keep an eye on, and who also calls bull on companies, it would be the following:-

I'm trying to pull as much Irish/N.Irish related events, and this month's newsletter went out on the 1st, which is ๐Ÿคฏ that it's super on time. ๐Ÿ˜…
Downside to publishing a newsletter that early on is that I'm missing out on news that normally gets released on March 8th.

So I hope this follow up to this month's newsletter with additional updates that I find and open to anyone who want to share info in the comments below.

This will be living doc for the month of March, so come back for any updates. ๐Ÿค—

So are you ready?

vicky bimoji let's go

Key Features

  • Fully motorized: Camera angle, sample position, magnification and focus can be adjusted precisely using six stepper motors.
  • Modular: Stages and modules can be arranged in any configuration depending on the application.
  • Versatile: Uniform illumination guarantees high quality imaging for a variety of samples with reflective or transparent surfaces.
  • Wide magnification range: Samples with features from several centimeters to several micrometers can be imaged without changing the objective lens.
  • Low-cost: The whole assembly costs from $200 to $400 depending on the features and the vendors of the electronic components.
  • The microscope uses a Raspberry Pi mini-computer with an 8MP camera to capture images and videos. Stepper motors and the illumination are controlled using a circuit board comprising an Arduino microcontroller, six stepper motor drivers and a high-power LED driver.
